News from Crescent Shop Order Period 7 U-noa Lusis and Sist pre-order


We are now taking pre-orders for Unoa Quluts girls kits !!


Here's the term and the condition.

1) Pre-order period
We are taking pre-orders from 13:00 on June 8th to 13:00 on June 23th. (Japanese Time)
This is pre-order. It is not first come first serve bases. Anybody can get the doll kits.

2) Price
Unoa Lusis kit US$ 515.00
Unoa Sist kit US$ 515.00

Large Breast US$ 45.00

3) Ordering quantity limit.
Please see ordering page. There is a quantity limit per person.
If we found orders are from same person, same address or same email address, we will be canceling everything.
If your family, room mate order the parts, please contact us to unoa@crescent-shop.com

4) Payment
Buyers will be receiving a notification for total amount by email.
Payment has to be Paypal.
Our Paypal email address for this order is invoice@crescent-shop.com
Please send your payment and we will be sending payment comfirmation.

Deadline of payment is 23:59 June 28th, 2009(Japanese Time)
We can accept other payment method like bank wire if the payment can be arrived before June 28th.

5) Delivery #### IMPORTANT ####
This pre-order, delivery is really depending on the quantity Alchemic Labo & we receive.
We are expecting it between September and December in 2009.
But the worst case, the delivery might be Feburary in 2010.
If you are buying a doll for your birthday, Christmas or any scheduled events,
please use our service for Yahoo Auction deputy service.

We will update delivery time if Alchemic Labo let us know something.

6) Shipment
Shipment is EMS only. We cannot combine any other items with the package.
We will NOT put lower value on the package nor sending as a gift.

7) Cancellation
Order cannot be cancelled after you pay. Serious buyers only please.
If we did not received a payment by 23:59 on June 28th, orders would be cancelled automatically.

8) Remarks
Doll stands are NOT included in the set.
The optional stand which is sold at Alchemic Labo is NOT available for overseas customers
because they use strong magnet and post office don't ship it.

I know that my english is not the most rich when it is about writing, but I have never denied using photo references (which I asked the permission to use or received from the dolls owner/custom maker), I only use them for face proportions and shadows because I find them interesting enough to make portraits of them, what I deny is when you say that my work is done by photomontage or manipulation, which is not true, if you only know the time and effort spend to create an artwork you would recognize this. The pictures that where posted on the internet are small details of my work which is intricated and more complicated than "just a bdj face". I draw dolls portraits for more than four years as others draw people's portraits because I find their face appealing and want to include them on a picture and create a full universe and story around them, with the same passion that bjd makeup artists and owners have when inventing a world for their favourite dolls. 
Most people today don't know about bjds and I do not understand why the bjd fans are trying to keep the phenomenon so private and selective, I have been meeting so many people at my art shows and described them the process of custom bjd creations, the care and patience that their owners put into them and how fascinating I find this. These people had never heard about these dolls and where very happy to discover it through me, I even herd of three of these women who decided to buy a ball jointed doll after listening to my story, and they now send me their photos so I would make a portrait of their favourite doll :)
I always thanked and credit Renata, Barbara and Tanya among other people who supported my work and enjoyed seeing my drawing interpretation of their dolls and makeup work and they do not believe that I have been stealing from them.
BJDs represent one the most interesting character aesthetic that I have seen in ages and I will keep sharing this as long as some people enjoy it.

Well I for one never gave her permisson to use my photos and she surely isnt my friend so wtf?

Buying Japanese goods from stores that will not ship overseas without Paying Deputy Comission.

I learned about Tenso a few weeks ago. A friend of mine ordered some figures using Tenso he praised them for being fast and affordable. He usually uses Crescent or Rinkya said using Tenso saved him about $45 dollars.

Please take note that currently Tenso can only ship to the following locations
( Asia )
( North and Central American region )
( Oceania )
( Middle East )
( Europe )
( South America )

A lot of Japanese websites do not ship outside Japan. When you sign up for Tenso they give you an address in Japan. It is very simular to a P.O Box, but when your items arrive you are notified by email. After paying a handling charge and the ems shipping fee for your item it is shipped to you. The handling charge goes by weight.

For the first 10,000 customers the handling prices are

Up to 1kg :490yen
Up to 1～3kg :980yen
Up to 3～5kg :1580yen
Up to 5kg～10kg :1980yen
Up to 10kg～20kg :2980yen
Up to 20kg～30kg :3980yen

The prices after that promotion are

Up to 1～3kg :1500
Up to 3～5kg :2500
Up to 5kg～10kg :4000

Even after the intro promotion it's still a lot better than using a shopping service.

The good points

• Can order from online sites and catelogs.


• Low handling fee


• Accepts paypal


• Easy to use copy to clipboard feature makes it easy to input your tenso address in the signup form for Japanese webshop.

The bad points

• You have to either be able to translate Japanese or use a translator.


• They do not offer combined shipping.


• The website you wish to order from must accept credit card payment. Websites that require Bank or Postal transfer (Like Alchemic Lab, Paraiso) are not supported.


• If you wish to use Y!Japan Auction you must sign up for it seperately.*

* When you do a free signup for Y!Japan auction you can place a bid up to 4,999 yen (about $50 dollars) to bid on something that cost more than 4,999 yen you must have a Yahoo! Premium membership. Yahoo! Premium cost 346 yen (about $4 dollars) a month plus tax. NOTE: There is an english version of Yahoo! Japan auction but you can not search japanese terms and it only has some of the categories the regular Japanese site has. I was not able to get a BJD result when I tried the english version :/

Despite the limitations, Tenso can be really usefull. I'll try to compile a list of sites that have doll goods that Tenso will allow you to order from soon. I tried to make a list but a lot of my links were event only seller :<

I recently found out about Tenso from Danny's blog. It's quite a nifty thing that will allow you to buy from Japanese online store but I will get into that more later. I was on a Japanese blog that had coverage from last Dollpa and the person who writes this blog does a lot of reviews of figures and other things. He did a Review on QUOLOMO（クゥオロモ) T-shirts and I broke into an orz ... They have some really cute items.

They have original shirts, shirts from anime and some sanrio characters like Twin Stars and Hello Kitty. They have an English website and ship world wide, I was excited that I wouldn't have to use Tenso but unfortunately most of the better items are only on the Japanese website.

Played Breath of Fire 4 yesterday, but didn't get very far because I kept taking screen shots. Then photoshop crashed and I lost them all ... Trying to decide what to play after working on some comissions today.
